WHAT IS A GARRY'S MOD SERVER?
Garry's Mod (GMod for short) is a sandbox game in which various constructions can be built.
As the owner of your own Garry's Mod server, you have the privilege to determine who can connect to your server and what they can do there. How can my users automatically download the addons that are on the server?
You can easily create a collection of addons in the workshop. You can then specify this in the startup settings together with an API key. The server will automatically download the addons after a restart or remove them if you remove them from the collection. If this is not the case, you can also add this in the "Download.lua" (/gmod/garrysmod/lua/autorun/server/download.lua) with 'resource.AddWorkshop("ADDONID")'. If the file does not exist, just create it.
Where can I find the addon ID?
You can find it in the URL of the workshop addon. There is "id=123456789" at the end, this nine-digit number is the ID you are looking for.
How do I update my servers?
The servers are updated automatically by us. As soon as they are updated, we write the corresponding news in our news box in the customer portal.
How can I change the start map & game modes?
You can easily change them in our customer portal under "Start settings". A restart is required for this.
How can I upload different maps?
You can easily download any maps and put them into the maps folder (/gmod/garrysmod/maps) via FTP or Web-FTP. Our server is hosted by Fatality Servers hosting and should be up 24/7!
